Microcellular polyurethane foam is a fine structured, open cell urethane foam that provides excellent resistance to compression set at a reasonable price point.

I’ve heard about RoHS-compliance. What is it, is it necessary, and are Griswold’s materials RoHS compliant?

RoHS stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances. Also known as Directive 2002/95/EC, it originated in the European Union and restricts the use of specific hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products. RoHS was introduced to improve the welfare of consumers, distributors, manufacturers and the environment. All of Griswold’s products commonly used in electronics are RoHS compliant.

Are Griswold materials easily customizable?

KUSHON cellular sponge is our line of open celled predominately natural rubber foams, which is complemented by products available in neoprene, EPDM, Nitrile and SBR, as well as customer-designed compounds.

enlighten-U microcellular urethane products have excellent compression set resistance and shock absorption properties, which are perfect for a variety of gasketing and sealing applications in the automotive, transportation, medical, office products, printing and electronics industries.

gelothane urethane foam is a unique offering within the enlighten-U brand of microcellular urethane foams that combine all the useful properties of Griswold’s other urethane foams with the unique feel and exceptional conformability of a “memory foam.”

impakt. microcellular urethane foam is a polyurethane foam used for static and dynamic vibration damping as well as some die ejection applications. Featuring excellent abrasion and tear resistance, impakt. will not fatigue over repeated loads, making the solution ideal for heavy-duty applications.
